My old Pebble watch keeps disconnecting from my phone.
This includes Pebble Classic/Steel, Time/Time Steel/Time Round, and Pebble 2 SE/HR. If you find your watch disconnecting often, try the following:
- Open the Pebble app. Make sure your watch is 'Connected' in the Devices tab of the mobile app.
- Go to Settings. Check "Enable Bluetooth Classic" and follow the pairing prompts on your phone and watch. This should resolve most connection instability.
If you're still experiencing disconnects, try the following to restore communication with your phone:
- Head to the Pebble mobile app and click on 'Devices'. Tap the 'Disconnect' button next to your watch.
- Close the Pebble app in Android's app switcher.
- On your watch, go to Settings -> Bluetooth
- Then, click the center right button to toggle airplane mode on, then click center button one more time to turn it off
- Go back to your phone and open the Pebble app. Tap the 'Connect' button for your watch.
- Make sure your watch is showing as 'Connected'.
If you're using a Pebble Classic or Pebble Steel, you may find yourself with more frequent connection instability. We're still working to smooth out connection stability with older devices! We appreciate your patience.
How do I pair my watch to two phones?
At the moment, the Pebble app only supports one mobile connection to a watch at a time. You'll have to unpair/repair to connect to another device.
Repairing your watch - My watch won't connect to my phone at all!
- In the Pebble mobile app, head to the Devices tab, then tap your watch, then 'Forget'. If you don't see an option to do so, that's okay! Just proceed to step 2.
- Go to your Android's Bluetooth settings. Delete/Unpair all Pebble and Core watches.
- On your watch, go to Settings -> Bluetooth and forget all devices. If you've recently reset your watch, try whichever is applicable:
- If your watch is showing a QR code or the getpebble.com screen, hold Back + Up + Select until you see a progress bar on-screen.
- If your watch is showing the getpebble.com/sos screen, hold the Down key until you see two spinning circles on-screen. Wait for the animation to finish.
- Restart your watch by holding down the left button for 10 seconds
- Power your phone back on
- Open the mobile app, go to Devices and press the + button
- Wait for your device to connect.
