I’m a new Pebbler, switching from Apple Watch or other smartwatch

Updated over a month ago

We’re glad to have you as part of the Pebble World! We like to think of Pebble as the perfect smartwatch. Just enough information to keep you informed, but not a million bells and whistles that disconnect too much from the real world.

What can a Pebble watch do?

  • Receive notifications from your phone (messages, apps, phone calls, etc.)

  • Display amazing watchfaces on an always on e-paper display

  • Be seen in bright sunlight

  • Control music from your phone

  • Show calendar appointments

  • Use it as a vibrating alarm clock

  • View the weather

  • Track your steps, your heartrate (Pebble Time 2 only), and your sleep

  • Reply to messages with voice or a canned reply on Android

  • Be worn for weeks at a time without needing to be charged

What can’t a Pebble watch do?

  • Receive notifications when it's not connected to your phone

  • Make phone calls

  • Store and playback music

  • Connect to cellular networks or wifi

Here’s how to get the best experience on an iPhone

  • Disable vibrations on phone if you only want your watch to vibrate to notify you (your Pebble and your iPhone will both vibrate otherwise)

  • Make sure you have previews turned on in your iPhone's settings > Notifications (if you have previews turned off, your Pebble's notifications will not work)

Now that we are up to speed, let’s just into it and get your watch set up.
