Step 1: Put your Index ring on your finger

The hole for the microphone needs to be on the "top" of the Index so your thumb doesn't cover it while activating the button

Step 2: Download the Pebble App

If you already have the app installed, skip to the Index 01 connection section below.

The Pebble Core app is required for the Index to connect to your iPhone.

Step 3: Enable Bluetooth on your phone

Step 4: Open the Pebble App

Step 5: Allow Pebble to Find Bluetooth Devices

Step 6: Allow Pebble to send you notifications

Step 7: Tap Get Started

Step 8: Choose which device(s) you have

Step 9: Allow Pebble full access to your calendar

If you want to access your calendar with your Index, you'll need to allow full access to the Pebble app.

Step 10: Allow Pebble to use your location

We need location enabled in order for your ring to connect properly to your phone.

Step 11: Allow Pebble to use your location while not using the app

We need background location always allowed in order for the ring to connect properly to your phone.

Step 12: Sign into an account

Signing into an account is required to use Index 01.

Step 13: Tap Connect a Pebble!

Step 14: Tap Add Index 01 (bottom right corner)

Step 15: Press the button on your Index 01 to wake it + tap Pair

Step 16: Tap Pair

Step 17: Follow along through the Index 01 onboarding to set up your ring

Step 18: Allow Pebble to access Speech Recognition (optional)

If you would like to use Apple's built-in speech recognition, you'll need to press "Allow," but if you don't care about that, you can press "Don't Allow."

Step 19: Choose your settings to finalize your Index 01

Speech Recognition: Choose if you'd like to download a local model to your phone for transcription processing.

Ring Button: Choose if you'd like to have a different action when pressing and holding your button. Leave these choices if you are unsure. You can customize these later in your Index settings area of the Pebble app.

Hold & Talk Default: Index agent

Double Click & Hold Default: Web search

Index Agent: Customize where your notes, reminders, and calendars are saved by default.

Secondary Action: Choose if you'd like to disable this or enable the cloud/local model to search for an answer based on what you dictate.

The secondary action is a press, release then press + hold

Backups: Enable backing up your recordings to the cloud. Optionally you can encrypt your backups.

Try it out: Hold the button and speak into the ring + release to test.
