Step 1: Put your Index ring on your finger

The hole for the microphone needs to be on the "top" of the Index so your thumb doesn't cover it while activating the button
Step 2: Download the Pebble App
If you already have the app installed, skip to the Index 01 connection section below.
The Pebble Core app is required for the Index 01 to connect to your Android phone.

Step 3: Enable Bluetooth on your phone

Step 4: Open the Pebble App

Step 5: Tap Getting Started

Step 6: Allow Pebble to use your location

If you'd like to add locations to your recordings, you'll need to enable this.
Step 7: Tap OK to allow Pebble to use your location while not using the app

Step 8: Allow Pebble to access your location “all the time"

Step 9: Allow Pebble find nearby devices

This allows your phone to find and connect to your Index 01.
Step 10: Allow Pebble to send you notifications

Step 11: Sign into an account

This is optional but is used to to backup your recordings
Step 12: Tap Connect a Pebble!

Step 13: Tap Add Index 01 (bottom right corner)

Step 14: Press the button on your Index 01 to wake it and press pair

Step 15: Tap Allow

Step 16: Follow along through the Index 01 onboarding to set up your ring

Speech Recognition: Choose if you'd like to download a local model to your phone for transcription processing.


Notes and Reminders: Press Add destination to enable your recordings that contain notes or reminders to integrate with

Music Play/Pause: Choose whether to enable a single or double press to play/pause your music

Secondary Action: Choose if you'd like to disable this or enable the cloud/local model to search for an answer based on what you dictate.

The secondary action is a press, release then press + hold

Backups: Enable backing up your recordings to the cloud. Optionally you can encrypt your backups.
