Step 1: Put your Index ring on your finger

The hole for the microphone needs to be on the "top" of the Index so your thumb doesn't cover it while activating the button

Step 2: Download the Pebble App

If you already have the app installed, skip to the Index 01 connection section below.

The Pebble Core app is required for the Index 01 to connect to your Android phone.

Step 3: Enable Bluetooth on your phone

Step 4: Open the Pebble App

Step 5: Tap Getting Started

Step 6: Choose which device(s) you have

Step 7: Allow Pebble to use your location

We need location enabled in order for your ring to connect properly to your phone.

Step 8: Tap OK to allow Pebble to use your location while not using the app

Step 9: Allow Pebble to access your location “all the time"

Press the back arrow on the top left corner of the screen

Step 10: Allow Pebble find nearby devices

This allows your phone to find and connect to your Index 01.

Step 11: Allow Pebble to send you notifications

Step 12: Allow Pebble to record audio

Step 13: Allow Pebble to create alarms and reminders

Step 14: Toggle to allow Pebble to create alarms and reminders

Press the back arrow on the top left corner of the screen

Step 15: Allow Pebble to access your Beeper group (Beeper only)

Step 16: Sign into an account

Signing into an account is required to use Index 01.

Step 17: Tap Connect a Pebble!

Step 18: Tap the + on the bottom right corner of the Devices tab

Step 19: Tap Add Index 01

Step 20: Press the button on your Index 01 to wake it and press Pair

Step 21: Tap Allow

Step 22: Tap Pair

Step 23: Enable Background Access

Step 24: Follow along through the Index 01 onboarding to set up your ring

Step 25: Choose your settings to finalize your Index 01

Speech Recognition: Choose if you'd like to download a local model to your phone for transcription processing.

Ring Button: Choose if you'd like to have a different action when pressing and holding your button. Leave these choices if you are unsure. You can customize these later in your Index settings area of the Pebble app.

Click Default: Nothing

Double Click Default: Play Music

Triple Click Default: Skip to the next track

Hold & Talk Default: Index agent

Double Click & Hold Default: Web search

Index Agent: Customize where your notes, reminders, and calendars are saved by default. You can enable alarms and Beeper here too.

Secondary Action: Choose if you'd like to disable this or enable the cloud/local model to search for an answer based on what you dictate.

The secondary action is a press, release then press + hold

Backups: Enable backing up your recordings to the cloud. Optionally you can encrypt your backups.

Try it out: Hold the button and speak into the ring + release to test.
